Bob:

I can't say enough regarding the WorshipGod08 conference. I was tired, lazy, and had just plain lost my passion and drive for leading worship. God used the conference to rekindle that blaze and I am so thankful for that. My heart is truly overflowing to the point that I really am having a hard time expressing what God did for me. Even in the week that we've been home, God has continued to bring the songs to my mind in my own private worship. That has bled over into our corporate worship here at Emmanuel Baptist Church. I can't wait for this Sunday! Thank you so much for your heart for the Lord and the ministry that is was in my own life! Should the Lord not come in all His glory, I look forward to meeting again in 2 years! God bless you all.

To the Body at Covenant Life-
I just wanted to say how thankful we were to be so amazingly hosted by all of you during the conference. It was obvious that many, many people were involved in kindly making us feel welcomed. Thank you for so faithfully greeting before each session, and especially for the fabulous desserts and lunches. Also- to those who served in the jazz band at the dessert reception- what a nice touch! I was really blessed by you all.

Hi Bob; I would like to express my gratitude to all who were involved in putting worship God 08 conference together, there was not one detail overlooked, thank you all, from the people who took care of the rest rooms to the ones who taught at the workshops and the seminars. The worship times were a taste of what is to come when we are gathered around the Great throne of our Glorious God.Christ was lifted up and exalted ,and the Holy Spirits presence was evident in all the general meetings. Thanks so much for a blessed time. Mark had it right when he wrote I have a destiny. As a christian I truly feel encourged in my faith, the power of the Gospel was seen in the way that the people responded to the spoken Word. I pray that The Father will continue to use you and the team to encourage the church to go forth and let the world know Jesus Loves them.

Bob, I'd like to encourage you and give praise to God in that your prayers are being answered here in Santa Fe,NM.
I returned from the conference by God's grace with an increased passion for Him and His glorious gospel. Worship on Sunday morning was God honoring in that He used this passion He'd kindled in me to ignite and inspire passion in others to treasure Jesus more. I've returned with a renewed and increased perspective of gratefulness for the team that surrounds me and all whom I have the privilege to serve alongside. In two years, if it is God's will, I would love to bring out my whole team for the conference. I love what the Lord is using all of you for...so I give Him thanks for you all in my prayers. Thank you for your partnership in spreading the gospel! Let us not grow weary in doing good!

As a blogger I returned and posted an article this morning which "sings the praises" of this magnificent conference. And I echo what the others are saying here-- this conference really targeted the heart of worship and was not just about new learning new methods and songs, though there was plenty of good, practical instruction. I am thankful to God that I was able to participate, since I have been dealing with physical ailments, but the Lord faithfully helped me through.

I was also deeply moved by Bob's spontaneous song, which the Lord really used to remind me of His care for me personally. Thank you for all the many hours of preparation and prayers that one can tell went into this conference-- everyone, the greeters, the ushers, the people who helped with registration, the speakers and seminar leaders-- were so helpful and cheerful from the heart. The main sessions messages were amazing-- deep and thoughtful and biblical and, at the same time, helpful and encouraging. The demeanor of the speakers was also so humble and gracious.

The times of worship were so God-centered and powerful. I felt that we worshiped together as one, and that people were truly focused on the Lord.

The conference challenges me to dig into the Psalms to renew the passion for worship that I haven't felt for a while but that the Lord is re-kindling in my heart. All in all this was an excellent and inspiring conference! Thank you!!

I brought 6 members of our worship team to this years conference. We were able to raise some money, but most of them paid their entire way and coming from California wasn't cheap. I was impressed enough in 06 to really encourage them to go and assure them it was money well invested. We could have gone to a rather large church that is 45 minutes away and has a large "worship" conference, but I wanted them to go to WorshipGod08, because I knew that the conference was geared for those who want to serve the church. All of them have since said it was money well invested. Thanks so much for having a conference for those who serve in churches whether large or small. It was highly encouraging and practical.

I was so blessed!!! The worship and teaching were all very real and penetrating for me and I know for many others. I was so thrilled to be able to be a part of the choir and to sing praises with such freedom and abandonment to the LORD! I am amazed and grateful for all the work, thought and consideration that went into this conference....and truly THANK/FUL to God. At our church services on Sunday, we who attended were still thinking about the conference...and singing the songs from it. May we "rediscover" not only the Psalms but continually our GREAT GOD!

The heart... that was what was most affected. By the singing. By the fellowship. Seeing young kids and adults praising God with outstretched arms. And the messages aligned with the songs about the Psalms. Praise God!

And the lasting effect... An encouragement to serve more in the tech ministries, yet with primary focus on the heart issues - about truly why we are doing this. And with God's grace and a humble attitude, share this with others on the team.

And another lasting impact came from your own kid's testimony, which made me realize a need to give more time to my kids. My wife graciously informed me about this a few weeks ago, I sort of shrugged it off, but your boys' message confirmed it. So I am going to teach them the recorder, then guitar and then... they are going with me to the WorshipGod conferences in the future.

Thanks for posting past sound tech sessions on line. They truly helped me understand more about serving as a sound tech.

I was joyfully awed at seeing 1600 fellow Christians singing, dancing and heartfully Praising the Lord. But I think what amazed me the most was the number of worshipers are in their 20's and 30's-it is nice to see that the World has not been able to ruin the Spirit of the Lord in these worshipers. It also made me think about all those fellow brothers and sisters elsewhere in the world who are not given the privilege and freedom of Praising God as we are. I found myself praying that for each one of us there openly praying, signing and praising that a door would be opened somewhere else in the world for the same number of Christian to be able to freely Praise our awesome God as they felt led-without fear.

I was most affected by the main sessions. I'm still mulling over what our church can do to incorporate more "minor key" songs in our worship sets.

I think a lasting effect will be a renewed passion to study Psalms.

Bob, is there a comprehensive list of all books recommended at the conference? I see the "Recommended Resources" list on the right, but I'm positive that there was a "Seeing Christ in the Psalms" and possibly also a "Seeing Christ in the Old Testament" book that was recommended.
